Miraval Group acquired the 220-acre Travaasa Austin Resort in the Texas Hill Country and is redeveloping and expanding it into a 120-room destination wellness resort, its first in Texas and the South. The resort is operating as Travaasa Austin throughout the redevelopment process and will be relaunched as Miraval Austin in early 2019. The project builds on Miraval’s growth plan, which included the opening last year of the Miraval Life in Balance Spa at Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, Calif., and its announcement to redevelop the Cranwell Spa and Golf Resort in Lenox, Mass.

Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills continues to significantly expand its wellness offerings for groups. Helipad Yoga is available for private groups of up to 25 people and features celebrity yoga instructors and 360-degree views of the city from the 17th-floor rooftop. The property has also developed partnerships with wellness and spa experts, including meditation specialist Todd Savvas from Soho House West Hollywood, who can be booked to lead group meditation sessions. Stretch breaks, fitness classes, green juice breaks and special wellness menus are among the hotel’s other group offerings.

The Mulia, Mulia Resort & Villas–Nusa Dua, Bali introduced a Meeting With Lifestyle Wellness Program designed to nurture mind and body for groups of up to 12 people. Included are use of a meeting room and a half- or full-day wellness program that features healthy cuisine, group fitness activities such as yoga and aqua aerobics, and treatments for all attendees at the property’s salon and spa. In 2015, it made the Conde Nast Traveler list of “Best Spas in the World.”
