Brand USA shared details of a recent survey that confirmed many people’s assumptions that international travelers are being influenced by politics when determining whether to visit the U.S. The survey asked travelers from 11 countries how the political climate influence the likelihood of visiting.
According to the Associated Press’ coverage of the findings, those saying the political climate made them less likely to visit increased from December to February among travelers from every country surveyed, with the exception of China, whose respondents were actually more likely to visit the U.S.
Travelers from Mexico reported the most concern over visiting the U.S., while travelers from Canada, Germany, Australia and the U.K. and France registered as being moderately affected by politics.
More information is available in the Associated Press’ news coverage of the study.
