New Orleans
The National WWII Museum currently developing plans for a $65 million, 234-room hotel with meeting space in the near future. The hotel is part of the museum’s continuing property expansion in the city’s Warehouse District.

The Troubadour has transformed a 17-story historic building into a luxury boutique hotel. The 184-room lodging facility recently opened in the Central Business District, and features bistro fare at the Petit Lion restaurant.

The historic 106-room Pontchartrain Hotel reopened last summer after a major renovation. The facility originally opened in 1927 and was visited by luminaries like Frank Sinatra, President Gerald Ford and Tennessee Williams, who stayed there while writing “A Streetcar Named Desire.” The facility, located in New Orleans’ Garden District, features two bars, a coffee shop and the iconic Caribbean Room.

Once home to the New Orleans Public Service, Inc., the 1927 building will re-open this spring as the 217-room NOPSI Hotel New Orleans. The luxury facility will feature a restaurant, rooftop bar and pool, and 10,000 square feet of event space.

Baton Rouge
The Watermark Hotel Baton Rouge opened last year in downtown Baton Rouge with 144 rooms, two restaurants, business center, fitness center, limo or town car service, bicycle rentals, and 2,295 square feet of event space.

The Knock Knock Children’s Museum will open this summer with a variety of interactive exhibits in science, math, and art. The museum will also feature a maker shop for tinkerers and a café. The facility will be available for group rentals.

A new Courtyard by Marriott property will open in downtown Baton Rouge later this year with 135 rooms, 80,000 square feet of event space and a Starbucks.

The 297-room Baton Rouge Marriott is currently wrapping up a major renovation, slated for completion this spring. The renovation includes larger rooms, refreshed meeting space and a new restaurant. The facility offers 25 meeting rooms and nearly 30,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Shreveport/Bossier City
The Horseshoe Casino & Hotel in Bossier City recently opened the Whiskey Roadhouse, a 3,000-square-foot bar and nightclub. The facility offers free live music by local and regional artists, plus a varied menu including sliders, quesadillas and barbecue plum glazed baby back ribs in addition to specialty cocktails and craft brews.

The Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City opened the Riverview Restaurant and Brewhouse in March. The restaurant features food, drinks, and an adults-only game room with classic and modern bar games. The eatery is one of five restaurants on the casino grounds.

Lafayette
The Cajundome Arena just wrapped a $22 million renovation, complete with new seats, court design, LED lights and much more. The arena can accommodate up to 22,000 and is available for group rentals.

The new Home2 Suites by Hilton Parc Lafayette recently opened with 106 rooms, a boardroom and a 3,500-square-foot ballroom.
