Florida

Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort is in the final stages of a $25 million renovation. The project includes updates to the resort’s main entrance, lobby, dining and entertainment venues, pools and beachside cabanas, common areas and meeting and special event spaces. The 744-room property is located across the street from the Ocean Center convention complex and offers 60,000 square feet of meeting space, all of which will feature new wall coverings, carpet and light fixtures. Updates to the resort’s 1,900-square-foot Ocean View Room include new furniture, lighting and access to the hotel’s South Tower patio. In addition to rebranding its poolside Pelican Bar as The Blind Turtle, the resort will rebrand its Clocktower Lounge and Legends Sports Bar.

The Grove Resort & Spa Orlando opened its first phase of the 106-acre property, located near Walt Disney World. Set on Lake Austin, the hotel launched with 184 of its 878 residential-style suites as well as three swimming pools, a spa, fitness center, two bars and lounges, and a lakefront pier with watersports. When complete, the hotel will include additional dining options and an on-site waterpark with a dual rider surf simulator, winding lazy river and multiple water slides. Zest lobby bar, Element lounge, a deli with grab-and-go options and Alfresco Market are now open. The property offers 6,000 square feet of indoor meeting space as well as a lawn and garden venues. Additional suites are expected to open in late 2017.

North Carolina

AC Raleigh North Hills, the first for the brand in the state, debuted with 135 guest rooms. The hotel features the brand’s open-concept spaces outfitted with modern furnishings and decor, and communal spaces. Level7, the property’s rooftop lounge and terrace, features views of the area and serves tapas-inspired small plates, Spanish wines, handcrafted cocktails and local beers. Level7 is accessible from inside the hotel as well as through a separate entrance that takes guests to the rooftop by way of a glass elevator. This level also offers 1,370 square feet of meeting space across three rooms.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Charlotte Uptown opened across from the Charlotte Convention Center and the NASCAR Hall of Fame. The new-build hotel features 250 guest suites that each include open living areas, kitchenettes and ergonomic workspaces. The lobby offers a custom-made fireplace and the adjacent terrace is used for nightly receptions and craft cocktails from the QC Lounge. The hotel has 12,000 square feet of event space across multiple meeting rooms, including the nearly 6,400-square-foot Uptown Ballroom with a capacity for 1,000.

Texas

The Adolphus Hotel is in the final stages of a complete restoration. The Dallas hotel originally opened in 1912 by Adolphus Busch, co-founder of Anheuser-Busch, and the project is scheduled to be complete this summer. Renovations include revamped meeting spaces and guest rooms, new culinary offerings, a rooftop pool and a full-service spa. The 407-room hotel offers 24,000 square feet of meeting space, including a grand ballroom and executive boardrooms. Its 19th-floor ballroom is being restored to its original grandeur. The rooftop pool deck can also be used for events for up to 175 guests.

Construction has begun on the The Westin Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas. The $113 million convention center hotel is scheduled to open in late 2018 with 350 guest rooms. This will complete the three-part visitor district that includes the existing 275,000-square-foot convention center and the Irving Music Factory, an all-in-one dining and entertainment destination scheduled to debut in the fall. Located between the convention center and The Music Factory, the new hotel will boast 12 stories and 16,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 10,000-square-foot ballroom.
