Attendees in the group who like to shop for goodies to bring home will find many purveyors of fun and delicious gifts in Wisconsin Dells.
Winnebago Fine Goods & Gift Shop, a store located on Broadway downtown, is a Dells standby that’s been in operation since 1949.
“It is well-known for its selection of Minnetonka moccasins and also carries home decor, apparel, souvenirs and fun giftables,” said Bianca Johnson, assistant director of marketing and communications for Wisconsin Dells Visitor & Convention Bureau.
Parsons Indian Trading Post & Museum is another classic shopping destination in the Dells.
“Its one-story building along the Wisconsin Dells Parkway is iconic, along with the tepee outside,” Johnson said. “You’ll find authentic Native American collectibles, artwork and apparel for purchase on one side, and a fascinating museum of Native American cultural items on the other.”
Fudge and popcorn, two quintessential Wisconsin Dells treats, can be found at the following downtown shops: Wisconsin Dairyland Fudge, Swiss Maid Fudge, Original Wisconsin Dells Fudge, Kernel Popcorn’s Factory and Oodlesmack Popcorn.
“Fudge flavors run the gamut from sea salt caramel and spiced Mexican chocolate to dreamsicle,” Johnson said. “And popcorn goes sweet or salty, with flavors like caramel apple pie, jalapeno ranch and loaded baked potato.”
At Wisconsin Dells Antique Mall and Wisconsin Dells Craft Mall attendees are certain to run into some finds.
Over 250 dealers stock the Antique Mall with a wide variety of antiques and collectibles, according to Johnson, who added the Craft Mall is a large store filled with decor, quilts, candles, lighting, birdhouses and much more.
Market Square Cheese, a family-owned must-visit for cheese lovers in the group, sells 100 tons of select Wisconsin cheese each year, Johnson said.
“Much more than just cheese, you’ll find the shelves stocked with jams, spreads, pickles, pasta, candy and one-of-a-kind gift items,” she added.
