San Diego, Atlanta and Charlotte, N.C., are the top three cities in the U.S. for small business meetings, according to a recent study from Meetings.com. Las Vegas and Minneapolis came in fourth and fifth place respectively.
The website’s latest findings on industry trends in consumer behavior comes from meeting and event planners who booked meeting space in North America within the last year. Based on the data, 50 percent of meeting and event planners book space at least 120 days out with only 12 percent waiting 30 days or less to find the ideal destination and venue.
According to Meetings.com, for small business meetings—its criteria for small meetings are generally between 10 and 100 rooms—the most requested items include adequate sleeping rooms; food and beverage options; projection equipment; on-site audiovisual equipment; fast and affordable Wi-Fi.; airport shuttle availability; and a coffee and tea setup.
