West Upgrades + Openings (June 2017)

Arizona
Royal Palms Resort and Spa is undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation to all of its 119 guest rooms, including its Presidential Suite, as well as select meeting and event spaces. The project will be completed in phases with many guest rooms complete by June; total completion is set for the fall. The renovations will complement recent improvements made to the resort’s pool and lounge area, event lawns and landscaping. The resort offers 20,000 square feet of meeting space and upgrades will include all outdoor spaces and the Estrella Salon.

California
Hilton San Francisco Union Square unveiled a $26 million renovation project with upgraded accommodations in Tower Two as well as enhancements to its Cityscape viewing lounge and Urban Tavern restaurant. The renovated guest rooms now include noise canceling windows and doors and electric plugs that are easily accessible throughout the room. Cityscape is located on the hotel’s 46th floor and offers unobstructed 360-degree views of the city. The 1,919-room property recently completed a refurbishment of its meeting spaces and common areas. A transformation of its lobby, including an overhaul of the hotel’s lobby bar and culinary marketplace, Herb N’ Kitchen, is also complete. The hotel features 134,000 square feet of meetings and events space, including 73 meeting rooms and a 30,000-square-foot grand ballroom.

InterContinental Hotels Group unveiled the Hotel Indigo brand’s first hotel in Los Angeles. The new-build Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown features 350 guest rooms and nearly 22,000 square feet of meeting space across 11 rooms. The design of the property is inspired by the Prohibition era, infusing elements from the underground speakeasies and tunnels, the Hollywood movie industry and the city’s Chinatown. The hotel offers dining in the lobby-level Metropole Bar+Kitchen and the top-floor cocktail lounge, 18 Social. The outdoor pool terrace located on the fourth floor offers views of Los Angeles and is outfitted with a bar and a variety of seating options. 

L’Auberge Del Mar completed renovations of its meeting spaces, 121 guest rooms and public areas. The refreshed 10,000 square feet of meeting space includes two ballrooms with terraces and six function rooms. The property features waterfront dining at Kitchen 1540 and poolside service at Bleu Bar as well as The Living Room Bar.

Colorado
Embassy Suites by Hilton Colorado Springs completed its multimillion-dollar renovation under the management of Spire Hospitality. The transformation includes modernized design updates to all of its 206 guest suites, in-house restaurant and bar, atrium and other public areas. The hotel now offers 7,000 square feet of updated meeting and event space and 14ers, a rebranded restaurant and bar in the property’s atrium.

Hilton Denver Inverness, formerly known as the Inverness Hotel & Conference Center, debuted in the capital city. The 302-room property features a championship 18-hole golf course, full-service spa, five restaurants and more than 62,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel can accommodate 500 guests for meetings and 1,000 for social events in its 43 meeting rooms, all of which are IACC-certified. www.hilton.com

Oregon
The SpringHill Suites Bend opened near downtown with 106 suites. Food and beverage offerings include local craft beer and wines at the hotel’s full-service bar and bistro or the 24/7 Market. The property also has two meeting rooms with 2,048 square feet of meeting space to accommodate meetings and functions of up to 130 people.
