MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.
Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group named Ken Greene president of the Americas. He reports to John Kidd, newly appointed CEO of Carlson Hotels. In his role, Greene is responsible for Development, Full Service Operations, Midscale Operations, Managed Hotels, and Technical Services in the Americas.
“Ken is a passionate leader with diverse global experience including brand building, strategic and financial planning, franchising, hospitality, real estate, and financial services,” said Kidd. “These are all skills and experience that will be critical to our aggressive Americas growth and expansion goals.”
Prior to joining Carlson Rezidor, Greene was the CEO of Greenehouse Consulting, a Toronto-based start-up that provides management consulting and advisory services on company strategy, branding, and real estate transactions. Prior to that, he was the president and chief executive officer for Delta Hotels and Resorts, where he transformed the business by repositioning the company as a leader in the Canadian upscale, full-service hotel segment.
Greene previously held various positions at Wyndham Worldwide, including president and managing director, helping to establish Wyndham’s Asia Pacific regional headquarters. Greene will join the organization initially as a full-time consultant, based in the company’s headquarters in Minneapolis, as he undergoes a ratification process by the new Carlson Hotels, Inc. Board of Directors.
