Boston, Mass.
Kimpton Nine Zero Hotel is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathleen Robb Kostka as director of sales and marketing.
In this role, Kostka will develop and implement Nine Zero’s marketing and sales strategies, while also overseeing group, catering and banquet sales planning. In addition, she’ll work closely with the hotel’s revenue team to forecast and achieve hotel sales goals.
Kostka joins Kimpton Nine Zero with nearly twenty-five years of luxury hotel industry experience, most recently serving as director of business and leisure travel at the Boston Harbor Hotel. She also held previous roles as director of sales and sales manager at XV Beacon Hotel, and Business Travel Coordinator at The Ritz-Carlton, Boston.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Kathleen to Kimpton Nine Zero,” said Michal Penek, general manager of the hotel. “With her luxury hospitality experience, along with her expansive network of contacts, we’re confident she’ll bring a fresh perspective and innovative ways for our hotel to meet its sales and marketing objectives.”
Kostka earned a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management from New York’s Rochester Institute of Technology where, fun fact, she was selected from thousands of applicants to intern in Walt Disney World’s College Program. She’s active with the New England Business Travel Association and also sits on their Board of Directors.
“I’m thrilled to be part of the Kimpton family, an award-winning brand that’s esteemed in Boston and growing globally,” Kostka said. “And in my new role, I look forward to successfully leading a dynamic sales team towards achieving financial profitability for our owners while delivering genuine and exceptional service to our guests and clients.”
Kimpton Nine Zero Hotel, located across the street from historic Boston Common, features 190 guest rooms and suites, 2,400-square-feet of meeting and event space and retro-style lounge, Highball.
