Seattle Area
The 1,260-room Hyatt Regency Seattle, which will include more than 100,000 square feet of meeting/ballroom space, is scheduled to open downtown in late summer 2018 two blocks north of the existing Washington State Convention Center and adjacent to a proposed expansion of the convention center.
At press time, the 189-room SLS Seattle was scheduled to open downtown late this summer with 8,000 square feet of meeting space.
The 151-room Hotel Theodore is on track to open in downtown Seattle this fall with 2,415 square feet of meeting space.
Phase 2 of the mixed-use Stadium Place Project, situated just north of Seattle’s CenturyLink Field, will include a 282-room Embassy Suites Hote, which is scheduled to open this fall with over 13,000 square feet of meeting space.
At press time, the Renton-based 347-room Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle’s Southport was scheduled to open last month. The hotel features over 60,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including 25,000 square feet of outdoor space overlooking Lake Washington, two on-site restaurants, an indoor swimming pool, a day spa and exercise facilities.
The Tukwila-based Homewood Suites completed a renovation in March (2017), including updates to all 106 guest rooms and public spaces.
W Bellevue opened in June in downtown Bellevue with 220 guest rooms, 25 suites and 10,000 square feet of meeting space.
Snohomish County-based Delta Hotels Seattle Everett is scheduled to open in September with 230 guest rooms and more than 11,000 square feet of meeting space.
Bellingham
The 153-room Holiday Inn & Suites Bellingham opened in March at the Bellingham International Airport with 7,800 square feet of meeting space.
San Juan Islands
Roche Harbor Resort recently renovated and expanded its pavilion event space, raising its capacity from 170 to 225 people.
Vancouver USA
In April ilani Resort opened just 15 minutes north of Vancouver USA. The property currently features a 100,000-square-foot gaming floor, and in January 2018, ilani will open a 17,000-square-foot convention space. A 400-room hotel is expected to open sometime during the next two years.
Tri-Cities
The Richland-based 82-room Lodge at Columbia Point opened last month with a private space for events/meetings.
