Meet Well, Be Well at the Shangri-La Hotel

At the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore corporate and MICE guests now have a new option to keep up on wellness and health routines while on the road. The hotel debuted its Meet Well, Be Well meeting package for groups of 20 or more.

“Many meeting attendees have their own health and fitness routines that may be disrupted when they are traveling,” said Reto Klauser, vice president and general manager at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore. “We can assist them in achieving not just their professional objectives, but also help provide them with holistic wellness experiences that can be integrated into their itineraries. We could be open to flexible arrangements and include customized activities into their meeting itineraries.”

The offerings come on the heels of the nature-inspired redesign and renovation of the hotel’s Tower Wing, which includes upgraded event spaces on the Mezzanine level as well as 500 refurbished guest rooms and new dining venues. The redesign was unveiled in July and incorporates natural elements such as water, wind, wood and stone. There are art installations that include a moss and stone wall in the lobby and regionally sourced sustainable material used in the guest rooms.

The Meet Well, Be Well package includes wellness-enhanced coffee breaks, a two-course Super Food lunch, the option of a room-delivered Breakfast Power Pack, and a meditation group session. Attendees will also have access to the Horizon Club Lounge on the 24th floor. The lounge offers healthy snacks, mobile work stations, services like shoe shining, and is open 24 hours a day.

Groups can also arrange for a group-led morning run to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, private yoga on the property’s Banyan Deck, an AquaSpin class in the hotel’s pool or a neighborhood power walk.

“The morning run is conducted by our executive chef, Franco Brodini, and Area Executive Pastry Chef Herve Potus, who are health buffs,” Klauser explained. “This involves a run from the hotel to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO Heritage Site and a vast ecosystem of its own.”

The Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore sits on 15 acres of tropical landscaped gardens and features 792 guest rooms and 62,800 square feet of meeting and event space.
