The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company is charting a course for luxury with its new venture on the seas. The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, will add luxury yachting to the brand with three small-capacity cruising vessels in 2019. The trips will include the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America, and because of the size, will be able to access locations larger cruise shops cannot, such as Capri and St. Barths. The yachts will also be available for private charter.
“The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection will have a distinctive personality and the vessels are sure to be true standouts in some of the most glamorous ports around the world,” said Herve Humler, president and COO of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.
The 625-foot ships will be able to accommodate up to 298 passengers, with 149 suites, each with its own private balcony. The yachts will also offer two duplex penthouse suites and feature interior finishes designed by The Ritz-Carlton with Tillberg Design of Sweden, a cruise ship design firm.
The ships will be home to a restaurant by Sven Elverfeld of Aqua, the three-Michelin-starred restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Wolfsburg, Germany, and Panorama Lounge and wine bar.
