Four Points by Sheraton Boston Logan Airport completed renovations to its 180 guest rooms, lobby and all function spaces. Located near Logan Airport and just five miles from TD Banknorth Garden and Fenway Park, the hotel now offers five function spaces, an on-site breakfast room seating more than 120 and the new Landing Cafe. The 3,750 square feet of indoor meeting space includes space for up to 140 guests. The hotel also features an indoor pool with an adjacent deck and an on-site restaurant, Bisuteki Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar.
New York
The Mondrian Park Avenue is scheduled to open in New York this fall. The hotel will feature 189 guest rooms and 7,000 square feet of meetings and event space, including a private rooftop meeting room. The building was built in 1918 as a 15-story office building and an additional five floors were added during the hotel conversion. The property will be home to Cleo, a 120-seat restaurant helmed by chef Danny Elmaleh showcasing eastern and southern Mediterranean cuisine.
ONE UN New York joined the Hilton brand as Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza. The hotel, situated alongside United Nations headquarters, features 439 guest rooms and suites, 7,500 square feet of meetings and event space and all-day dining at Ambassador Grill as well as UN Cafe for on-the-go food and beverage. The meeting space includes six rooms with natural light, including a 300-person-capacity ballroom.
Northern Virginia
DoubleTree by Hilton McLean Tysons debuted adjacent to the Tysons Central Silver Line Metro Station and nearby Tysons Galleria and Tysons Corner Center. The property underwent a multimillion-dollar transformation and features 168 fully upgraded guest rooms and has plans to unveil 5,700 square feet of meetings and event space. There is also an outdoor garden patio with a tent that can be used for private events. The hotel offers an indoor Olympic-sized pool and two dining options, including private dining space for up to 100 people.
Washington, D.C.
Crestline Hotels & Resorts announced that it will manage the dual-branded hotel project at Columbia Place in Washington D.C.’s historic Shaw neighborhood. Slated to open in 2018, the mixed-use project will include a newly built Courtyard hotel and a Residence Inn hotel, adjacent to the Washington D.C. Convention Center. The hotels will share approximately 10,000 square feet of meeting space comprised of multiple meetings rooms, a boardroom, three hospitality suites and an outdoor rooftop terrace. Additional joint hotel amenities include a fitness facility and full-service restaurant. The Courtyard by Marriott will have 357 guest rooms while the Residence Inn by Marriott will have 147 residential-style studios, one- and two-bedroom suites.
