Latest + Greatest: Harrisburg, Hershey, Lancaster, York (Oct. 2017)

Harrisburg

The 87-room Comfort Inn & Suites Harrisburg Airport hotel is set to open in spring 2018. 

Hershey

The Courtyard Hershey Chocolate Avenue opened in Hershey in June 2017 with 120 guest rooms. 

In 2018, Hersheypark is slated to debut two new attractions: Breakers Edge Water Coaster, the park’s 14th roller coaster, and Whitecap Racer, which is billed as “the world’s longest mat racer.” 

In early 2017, The Hotel Hershey renovated its West Tower guest rooms, Iberian Lounge and Overlook function room. 

Hershey Lodge opened a new restaurant, Fire & Grain, in May 2017. Also new at the property is Hershey’s Water Works, an indoor pool complex that opened in 2016. 

Due to open in September 2017 at Hotel Hershey at press time was MeltSpa by Hershey, a day spa with chocolate-inspired treatments. 

Lancaster

The Lancaster Marriott is slated to complete a 110-room expansion by the end of this year. 

In 2018, Refreshing Mountain Retreat & Adventure Center plans to open a two-tier Aerial Obstacle Course, which can be packaged with ziplines, nature programs and horse riding, among other activities.

A $3 million overhaul of Rocky Springs Entertainment Center debuted in September with a new laser tag arena, eight-lane private bowling and a party suite.

York

The Wyndham Garden York recently introduced new outdoor meeting and event spaces, as well as picnic games and fire pits. 

The 85-room Candlewood Suites York is the city’s newest extended-stay hotel. 

The Yorktowne Hotel is undergoing renovations and plans to reopen in late 2018. 

Scheduled to open in mid-November is the 106-room Tru by Hilton York
