HOUSTON
PCMA announced Convening Leaders 2021 will be held in Houston from Jan. 10-13. Convening Leaders is PCMA’s annual business event industry conference where more than 4,200 global professionals participate in three days of senior-level education, community building and orchestrated networking.
The association noted that “those who haven’t been to Houston recently will be amazed by the more than two billion dollars of infrastructure improvements in the downtown area to including 40 new restaurants and boasting more than 25 hotels with 8,000 plus rooms. Houston and the surrounding region were hit especially hard by Hurricane Harvey, but the destination has been firmly focused on recovery.
The George R. Brown Convention Center, now with 1.2 million usable square feet, ranks among the 10 largest convention centers in the United States, and it will be the home to Convening Leaders 2021.
“Houston is honored and thrilled to be hosting PCMA’s Convening Leaders conference in 2021,” said Mike Waterman, executive VP of Houston First Corporation and president of the Greater Houston CVB. “It has been an epic year for Houston, starting with hosting Super Bowl 51, to working with PCMA and our state partners to defeat the so-called ‘Texas bathroom bill’ and most recently dealing with the impacts of Hurricane Harvey. All of these events have made Houston stronger and better prepared moving forward."
“As PCMA continues to expand our global reach, the international hub of Houston is a perfect destination to welcome our diverse Convening Leaders audience,” PCMA CEO Deborah Sexton said. “The Houston hospitality community has a passionate entrepreneurial spirit, a commitment to success and, as we have all recently witnessed, a resilient can-do attitude that ensures [limitless event possibilities].”
PCMA 2018 Convening Leaders will be held in Nashville, Tenn., at the Music City Center.
