Albuquerque

Hotel Chaco is the first luxury hotel inspired by the mystique and grandeur of the ancient civilization that once occupied Chaco Canyon. The hotel is a Heritage Hotel & Resorts’ inaugural from-the-ground-up design/build project—and the first hotel built in Albuquerque's Historic Old Town in 40 years. 

The Hotel Cascada is now the Wyndham Albuquerque Hotel & Conference Center. It has 309 rooms and 30,000 square feet of meeting space.

Executive chef Marc Quiñones is new to the Hotel Andaluz in Albuquerque and has appeared on Chopped and Cutthroat Kitchen. He just won bronze at the Great American Seafood Cook-off, the first chef from a land-locked state to ever make the podium. 

Nativo Lodge has renovated 24 rooms into artist’s rooms, offering guests large-scale art installations created by contemporary Native American artists. 

Santa Fe

Sunrise Springs Spa Resort in Santa Fe has a new chef in their recently renovated Blue Heron restaurant. Rocky Durham was previously the executive chef and co-founder of the Santa Fe Culinary Academy, an accredited cooking school that recently closed its doors. 

La Posada De Santa Fe, a Tribute Portfolio Resort & Spa, recently appointed Jon Jerman as the new executive chef. Jerman utilizes locally sourced products including beef from a co-op of small Native American ranches and produce from family-owned local farms. 

La Fonda On the Plaza
The historic La Fonda on the Plaza announced the appointment of hospitality industry leader Rik Blyth as its General Manager. 

Casa Espana is located in what was originally an 18th-century fur trader's home and is a new event space. The eight-room event venue is furnished in the manner of a private, upscale Santa Fe home with custom artwork and bold colors. The facility can be rented Sunday to Thursdays for corporate events of 50 to 300 guests. 

Taos

El Monte Sagrado has a new executive chef. Cristina Maritnez, a native New Mexican, honed her skills at Le Cordon Bleu in California. 

The 124-room Hotel Don Fernando de Taos after millions of dollars in renovations will be set to open before the end of the year.
