Melia Hotels International is opening the new five-star Gran Melia Ca di Dio hotel in Venice. The property is scheduled to open at the end of 2018 after a complete renovation and will feature 79 guest rooms, meeting rooms, a swimming pool, a signature restaurant and all-day dining. The hotel will boast unique views of the Grand Canal and the city of Venice, and is located minutes from Doge’s Place, the National Library of St. Mark’s, the Bridge of Sighs and St. Mark’s Square. Gran Melia Ca di Dio is owned by Salute Hospitality Group and managed by Melia Hotels International.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the opening of Hyatt Regency Lucknow. The property is located in the corporate hub of Vibhuti Khand and in close proximity to the city’s High Court and multiple public sector head offices. Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport is less than 16 miles away. Additionally, landmarks and tourist attractions include Bara Imambara, La Martiniere College and Hazratganj Market. With 206 guest rooms, including 19 suites, Hyatt Regency Lucknow offers elegantly decorated, bright and spacious accommodations with 43-inch LED HD televisions, a multifunctional workspace, a seating area and a well-appointed bathroom. Hyatt Regency Lucknow offers more than 18,000 square feet of meeting and event facilities, including a 4,200-square-foot ballroom.
Poland
Sheraton Warsaw Hotel wrapped a renovation of all of its guest rooms and Sheraton Club Lounge. The property’s 350 guest rooms and suites were redesigned in a contemporary, residential style with features that include multilevel soft lighting, luxurious fabrics and top-quality textures and finishes. Each room offers the Sheraton Signature Sleep Experience. The hotel overlooks Ujazdowski Park in the fashionable Three Crosses Square area. Meeting space is spread over two floors and features 12 meeting rooms and a Grand Ballroom for larger conferences and events.
Sri Lanka
Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo was set to open this month at press time. The property will offer approximately 37,674 square feet of event space, including the largest pillarless ballroom in the nation, as well as a second junior ballroom, several function rooms and a private outdoor lawn with views of the Indian Ocean. Located on the Galle Face Green promenade, it is the second Shangri-La property in Sri Lanka, joining Shangri-La’s Hambantota Golf Resort & Spa, and will serve large conferences and events.
Thailand
Rosewood Phuket, the brand’s first Southeast Asia resort, opened in the southern Thailand island of Phuket on the Andaman Sea. The property boasts a nearly 2,000-foot beach on Emerald Bay in southwestern Phuket and offers 71 pool pavilions and villas. The resort features four restaurants that boast a backdrop of Emerald Bay; the fisherman’s village-style Ta Khai, Italian restaurant Red Sauce, seafood venue The Shack and poolside outlet Mai. A highlight is Asaya, the brand’s holistic wellness concept that offers alternative therapies, lifestyle coaching, fitness activities and specialized healing practices. Off-site activities range from tours to local shrines, the Sino-Portuguese architecture of Phuket Old Town and luxury yacht sails to nearby islands to visits to a sanctuary for Asian elephants.
