One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World may serve as a memorable backdrop for your next meeting or incentive program, no?
Melia Hotels International thinks so, and put the idea into practice by opening the Melia Iguazu, the only hotel offering panoramic views in the center of Argentina’s Iguazu National Park, a UNESCO World and World Heritage site.
Melia assumed operation of the 169-room property in late September and embarked on a complete renovation of the property, with completion scheduled in 2018. Highlights include waterfall-view rooms, swimming pools and a spa, gym and multiple restaurants, along with meeting and event space. The property also features a Visitors Centre with walking access to the falls.
“The opening of Melia Iguazu in one of the most important travel destinations in South America is undoubtedly one of the greatest achievements of our international expansion this year,” said Gabriel Escarrer, vice president and CEO of the Spanish-owned chain that also operates two hotels in Buenos Aires.
The stunning falls comprise more than 270 individual falls that reach heights of more than 250 feet.
