Denver community leaders gathered to celebrate the opening of the Hilton Denver City Center, described as “a modern, upscale retreat in the heart of the city.” The ribbon-cutting introduced the 613-room hotel, which towers 20-stories high and features updated public spaces, guest rooms and dining venues, to the public following the completion of a $27 million multi-phased renovation. The ceremony was attended by Visit Denver CEO Richard Scharf, Councilman Albus Brooks and Tim Benolken, Hilton’s senior vice president of operations for North America.
“We are excited to strengthen our presence in one of the most scenic and fastest growing cities in the country,” said David C. Marr, senior VP and global head, full service brands, Hilton.
Hilton Denver City Center offers views of the Rocky Mountains and city skyline and is located near main downtown attractions including the Colorado Convention Center, 16th Street Mall, Pepsi Center, Sports Authority Field and the Denver Art Museum. The hotel includes 581 guest rooms and 32 suites, and offers expansive, flexible event space ideal for a wide range of groups.
