Latest + Greatest Chicago Suburbs: 2018 Upgrades & Openings

Northern Suburbs

Delta Hotels Chicago North Shore Suites in fall 2017 completed a renovation/rebranding of the former Wyndham Glenview Suites. The property offers 14,066 square feet of event space.

Lincolnshire Marriott Resort in November 2017 completed a renovation project that included upgrades to each of its 390 rooms, two new dining options, a Starbucks and a day spa. 

Zion-based Illinois Beach Resort in 2017 completed a renovation including upgrades to all of its 92 guest rooms.

Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel and Itasca-based Westin Chicago Northwest recently completed upgrades to their meeting space and guest rooms.

TownePlace Suites Chicago Schaumburg opened in January 2017 with 81 suites and 6,475 square feet of meeting space. 

Rosemont-based Donald E. Stephens Convention Center recently underwent a renovation that featured updates to its 64,000-square-foot conference center, among other areas.. 

Rosemont-based Impact Field, home of the Chicago Dogs Minor League Baseball team, is scheduled to open in May. The ballpark and its private club level, which can accommodate up to 250 guests, are available for special events on non-game days

Western Suburbs

Oak Park-based Unity Temple Restoration Foundation in late 2017 completed the restoration of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Unity Temple. The temple’s sanctuary seats up to 350 and its Unity House accommodates corporate events.

Downtown Aurora-based event venue Company 251 opened in October 2017 with 20,000 square feet of space on two floors.  

Chicago Southland

The 193-room DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago-Alsip is scheduled to complete guest room updates this spring to complement its recently updated lobby, public areas and meeting spaces. 

The 184-room Hilton Chicago/Oak Lawn, which offers 17,000 square feet of event space, will complete major renovations this fall.
