Florida

Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort completed a $25 million renovation. Formerly known as the Hilton Daytona Beach Resort/Ocean Walk Village, the project involved extensive enhancements to various areas of the property, including its meeting and special event spaces, dining and entertainment venues, pools and beachside cabanas, lobby and common areas.

The resort’s 60,000 square feet of meeting space has been refreshed with new wall coverings, carpet and high-end light fixtures. Updates to the resort’s Ocean View Room, which offers floor-to-ceiling views of the Atlantic Ocean, include new furniture, lighting and access to the hotel’s North Tower deck for event scalability.

Hilton Miami Downtown completed a $35 million property-wide renovation. Located on the site of the former Omni International Mall, the property updated the 527 guest rooms, meeting space, restaurant, and lobby. The hotel’s more than 45,000 square feet of meeting space that can accommodate up to 2,000 guests was redesigned and features 19 meeting rooms, a 17,000-square-foot ballroom and five boardrooms.

The on-site restaurant Brisa Bistro, a fusion experience led by Executive Chef Didier Pouzier that combines Caribbean, South American and European cuisine was reimagined.

Georgia

The Hotel at Avalon, Autograph Collection and Alpharetta Conference Center opened, completing the final phase of the Avalon mixed-use development. The 330-key hotel offers 44,000 square feet of event space, including a second-story pool terrace that transforms for outdoor events and banquet functions, two ballrooms, an executive boardroom as well as venues for smaller meetings.

The hotel is part of a portfolio of more than 130 independent Autograph Collection hotels. Additional amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, access to Club Avalon Concierge and the Avalon community itself that offers shops, dining and entertainment right outside the doors.  

North Carolina

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Wilmington Riverfront Hotel debuted adjacent to the Wilmington Convention Center. The186-all suite hotel offers 6,600 square feet of meeting space with an additional 107,000 square feet of space at the convention center. The hotel features a 4,000-square-foot roof deck and bar on the ninth floor and Steam Restaurant & Bar that has an indoor/outdoor terrace with views of the river. The property is in the city’s Convention District, located riverfront and within the city’s walkable River District.

Tennessee

HRI Lodging, LLC and Hyatt unveiled Holston House Nashville, located in downtown Nashville. The hotel is the newest addition to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand. The 191-room hotel occupies an 88-year-old Art Deco James Robertson Hotel building. Amenities include a fitness center, a series of food and beverage offerings, a lobby bar and lounge as well as a rooftop pool bar.

There is also more than 2,200 square feet of meeting and event space, which includes a boardroom and private rooftop room with floor-to-ceiling windows and balcony, leading out to the rooftop pool. 

The Hyatt Place Knoxville/Downtown debuted in the historic building formerly known as the Hotel Farragut. Located downtown, the property originally opened in 1917. The hotel boasts 165 guest rooms, Gallery Kitchen Breakfast, 24/7 Gallery Menu & Market, Coffee to Cocktails Bar, and a fitness center. There is also 3,848 square feet of meeting space, including a rooftop venue and five meeting rooms.
