West Upgrades + Openings (March 2018)

Arizona

Boulders Resort & Spa debuted the new 5,600-square-foot Latilla Ballroom following a property-wide renovation that included the main lodge, restaurants, swimming pools and clubhouse facility. The new facility features 16-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Overall, the resort offers more than 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, 160 guest casitas and 61 one-, two- and three-bedroom villas, five restaurants and a lounge, two championship Jay Morrish-designed golf courses, eight tennis courts and a full-service spa. 

California

Galleria Park Hotel, a Joie de Vivre property, located in San Francisco’s Financial District, revealed a multimillion-dollar renovation and redesign to its entrance, lobby and mezzanine.

All 177 guest rooms and meeting space were renovated in 2017. The hotel offers 2,000 square feet of Green Meetings-certified event space, including three meeting rooms and the Park Terrace (third-floor outdoor space).

River Terrace Inn completed a $5 million expansion and renovation. The renovation included the porte cochere, lobby and front desk, hallways and ALBA restaurant as well as expansion of the guest rooms, meeting and event spaces and fitness center. The Napa Valley hotel added six new luxury riverfront guest rooms and two suites. The outdoor pool was removed and River Walk Clearing outdoor event space was added. 

A new 1,400-square-foot ballroom opening out onto the Napa River along with outdoor breakout spaces for meetings and events were also added. 

 

The Sheraton Redding Hotel at the Sundial Bridge opened with 130 guest rooms. The hotel is within the grounds of the 300-acre Turtle Bay Exploration Park in Northern California. The LEED-certified property features 80,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor function space, including a 4,000-square-foot ballroom that can be divided into smaller breakout rooms.

The on-site Mosaic Restaurant is named for tiles under the nearby Sundial Bridge and has two outdoor patios

Oregon

Portland’s River’s Edge Hotel is in the final stages of a full-scale renovation and rebranding project. Situated along the Willamette River, just minutes from downtown, the 100-room hotel features a minimalist design with understated decor crafted from natural materials. The property’s 3,500 square feet of refurbished event space and 500-square-foot riverside lawn can accommodate groups up to 120.

A new restaurant and bar named Rosswood will debut as part of the renovation.

Mexico

Viceroy Hotel Group announced the Viceroy Los Cabos will open in the spring. Previously the Hotel Mar Adentro, the property will be the group’s 14th location and a member of The Viceroy Icon Collection.

The renovation will include a new arrival area, the addition of a beach bar and beach pool, and an expanded, redesigned fitness center and spa, and two of the four existing dining outlets will be reconcepted to provide spectacular dining and social options for guests and locals alike. Upon completion, the hotel will feature 194 rooms, suites, villas and 50 residences.

The resort amenities will also include a cinema room for movie screenings and meeting spaces.
