Latest & Greatest Arkansas: 2018 Upgrades & Openings

Little Rock

The Robinson Center reopened in 2016 after a $70 million renovation and expansion project, including a state-of-the-art, 2,214-seat multipurpose performance hall and a 25,000-square-foot, two-story conference center. Last year, the entire project received LEED Gold certification. The new conference center can accommodate more than 500 people with banquet seating in its flexible ballroom. The upper floor features four flexible meeting rooms and a 5,500-square-foot terrace overlooking the Arkansas River.

The 140-room Hilton Garden Inn Little Rock Downtown opened last year with a fitness room, pool and 2,750 square feet of meeting and event space.

The historic 1913 Hotel Frederica recently reopened after a $2 million renovation. The boutique property also offers a restaurant, bar and event space.

The new 117-room Staybridge Suites-Little Rock Medical Center opened last year in the Midtown District with a business center, fitness center and one meeting room.

Bentonville

The 107-room Element Bentonville will open this July with a breakfast area, gourmet pantry and a 650-square-foot meeting room. The eco-friendly property also offers a fitness center, pool and business center.

The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art recently announced plans for a contemporary art facility called Momentary. The facility will be located in downtown Bentonville and is intended as a sister institution to Crystal Bridges as a multidisciplinary space for visual and performing arts. It will include galleries, studio space, an amphitheater, cafe, black box theater, studio kitchen, bar and indoor and outdoor public spaces.

Hot Springs

The 62-room The Waters Hotel opened last spring after a $7 million renovation. The historic property was brought back to its former glory as well as modernized. The Waters Hotel is located on Bathhouse Row in the heart of Hot Springs’ spa district. The facility offers a fitness center, restaurant and boardroom.

The 196-room Hotel Hot Springs underwent a complete renovation in April 2016 and now includes four executive suites, 7,000 square feet of remodeled meeting space and the Inside Track Grill & Sports Lounge. The hotel is attached to the Hot Springs Convention Center.

Rogers

A 121-room Courtyard by Marriott is currently under construction next to the Pinnacle Hills Promenade, an entertainment district with shops and restaurants. An opening date has not been announced.

Springdale

A 119-room, five-story Home2 Suites by Hilton will open this spring across from the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center.

Fayetteville

The 94-room Fairfield Inn and Suites Fayetteville is slated to open this October with a fitness center, breakfast area and one meeting room.
