Lanai: A $75 million renovation is underway at The Lodge at Koele, A Four Seasons Resort, which has been closed for two-and-a-half years. With completion expected by the end of the year, the project includes reducing the room count from 102 to 94, with several of the rooms converted to meeting space.
Other changes include expanded spa and fitness facilities and a new free-form swimming pool.
Maui: The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas opened on a 16-acre waterfront site at the Kaanapali Beach Resort. The resort offers one-, two- and three-bedroom accommodations, a farm-to-table restaurant, a beach bar and a cultural center with programs in hula, music and traditional Hawaiian crafts.
The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa embarked on a $26.5 million renovation of the resort’s 508 guest rooms and suites. Scheduled for completion this summer, the makeover will include new artwork, furnishings and textiles.
The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua completed a major renovation that included redesigned interiors for its 463 guest rooms, a new lobby cafe and luxury poolside cabanas with butler service, flat-screen televisions and refrigerators.
Molokai: The Hotel Molokai opened a new restaurant, Hiro Ohana Grill, which offers oceanfront dining and nightly live entertainment. The hotel also added the Oceanfront Deluxe Suite, which features a deck overlooking Kamiloloa Beach, living area, wet bar and other amenities.
