Elise Gertenbach has been appointed director of group sales for Hotel Contessa. "It is a pleasure to congratulate Elise on another well-deserved promotion at Hotel Contessa and within Benchmark,” said Troy Mathews, general manager of Hotel Contessa. “She is an important member of our sales and marketing team and a superb professional, skilled at strategically building relationships with key meeting planners and corporate clients throughout the country.”
This latest advancement for Gertenbach comes nearly 12 years after she initially joined Hotel Contessa team, where she most recently served as national account director for the 265-suite hotel. During her time in the role, she managed Hotel Contessa’s business from the Midwest and east coast markets and earned Benchmark’s highly coveted Platinum Award for sales excellence.
Gertenbach has also held senior sales manager and sales manager positions for the landmark property. She began her career in hospitality sales at the Northland Inn of Brooklyn Park, Minn.
Hotel Contessa is set on the banks of the city’s Riverwalk and reflects the rich heritage of 20th century Spain, embracing its unique architecture, hospitality and cuisine. The 12-story hotel features 265 suites, 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space, Woodhouse Day Spa, fitness center and an outdoor rooftop swimming pool.
