CARLSBAD, Calif.
The Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa will open on July 26. The resort, located in north San Diego County, will feature 208 guest rooms, including 28 suites with ocean views; a signature restaurant offering farm-fresh ingredients; a luxury spa and state-of-the-art fitness center; and private rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the coastline.
The property’s Mediterranean-inspired architecture and botanicals create a seaside oasis. Guest rooms and suites range in size up to 1,309 square feet, feature a color palette of coastal hues and include modern textiles, furniture and ocean-inspired artwork.
“We’re truly excited to add a Westin Hotels & Resorts to the community and see this project come to life this summer,” said Chris Draper, managing director of The Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa. “Westin’s commitment to empowering well-being seamlessly fits the Carlsbad lifestyle and we’re looking forward to offering visitors unparalleled experiences in leisure and business travel.”
Named for its picture-perfect views of the Pacific coastline, 20|Twenty Grill on-site will be operated by Chef Eddie Zamora. Chef Eddie brings an extensive background in hotel and resort culinary programs, holding various positions throughout his career – from pastry chef to chef de cuisine. The 5,200-square-foot restaurant will offer farm-fresh ingredients, craft cocktails and an expansive outdoor dining terrace with fire pits and ocean breezes. Other restaurants on the property include the brand new 7 Mile Kitchen, featuring hand-crafted pizzas, local beer and gelato made with locally sourced ingredients, along with a selection of casual eateries.
Situated atop one of the highest points in Carlsbad, The Water Tower rooftop terrace offers sweeping panoramic views of the coastline. This space can be rented for private functions and is only accessible to property guests. The resort will also include more than 70,000 square feet of immersive meeting space with both outdoor and indoor options.
