The Kota Kinabalu Marriott Hotel opened in Sabah, Malaysia. Located along the capital's waterfront, the hotel has 332 guest rooms and 14,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
The guest room design features elements of local culture, paying homage to the rich heritage of Borneo’s indigenous Kadazandusun tribe.
Hotel’s facilities include an outdoor infinity pool with views of the South China Sea, a fitness center and a spa as well as M Club, the brand’s executive lounge.
There are five on-site restaurants and bar concepts, serving an array of cuisines. Kitchen@8Set, the hotel’s all-day dining venue, features fresh, locally inspired cuisine. For an immersive experience, Teppan Table is a Japanese teppanyaki dining room with an open kitchen. From the rooftop bar Stylo, guests can enjoy the panoramas.
The property’s 14,000 square feet of event space, features natural light and includes five function rooms and a Grand Ballroom that accommodates up to 650 guests.
