Deb Gee, experience designer with Lululemon, shared her daily ritual winter tips for winter wellness with Meetings Today Director of Strategic Content Lori Tenny.
1. Remember to breathe. Take some deep cleansing restorative breaths to invigorate your senses and get yourself awakened and feeling alive in the morning.
Breathe and set your intentions for the day. Our tendency is to just run. Take time to remember how far you’ve come this year and enjoy the beautiful ambience of the season.
2. Use essential oils. Take peppermint or rosemary oil and rub it into your scalp, temples or palms first thing in the morning as you take deep, invigorating breaths. Peppermint oil can also be edible. Put a couple of drops under your tongue if you’ve overindulged, as it helps to soothe indigestion.
3. For beverages, keep a nice spicy chai tea by your side, especially during busy times of production. It keeps you warm and the spices are invigorating, and it actually kick starts your metabolism.
Keep the sugar and dairy additives to a minimum. Try to drink it black if you can.
