Hyatt Regency Austin named Jeff Ouradnik as director of sales and marketing. Ouradnik joined the property from Hyatt Regency Lake Washington in the Seattle area.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jeff to Hyatt Regency Austin,” said Dan Johnson, general manager at Hyatt Regency Austin. “Jeff brings an extensive amount of experience, excitement and talent to his work and he has a true passion for creating the best possible workplace for his colleagues. He is going to be an invaluable asset to our team.”
As director, Ouradnik oversees the marketing and sales departments at the hotel. He provides direction, guidance, and support to his team to ensure they have the appropriate tools to perform their job.
“As a part of the leadership team for this hotel, I am dedicated to providing the support and structure for my team to not only be successful, but to truly enjoy their work experience so they can be their best both personally and professionally,” said Ouradnik.
Recognizing his 10-year anniversary with Hyatt this year, Ouradnik has worked at several Hyatt properties. He held associate director of sales roles at both Hyatt Regency Bellevue, in the Seattle area, and Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, in Huntington Beach, Calif.
Ouradnik served as both director of sales and marketing, and director of sales and events at Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa & Marina in San Diego, and served as an integral part of the pre-opening and opening team for Hyatt Regency Lake Washington when it launched to the public in 2017.
“I am thrilled to be here in Austin and to work at a hotel that has been a significant piece of the fabric of the city and community for more than 35 years,” said Ouradnik. “This property has seen a lot of change in the downtown market over the past few years with new inventory coming to the city. It is my goal to continue to maintain the tradition of providing the exceptional experience the hotel is known for while ensuring we are continuing to be innovative by providing true but new experiences that resonate for our customers, our colleagues, and our guests."
Hyatt Regency Austin is situated on the shores of Lady Bird Lake and offers 448 guest rooms and more than 45,000 square feet of function space, including the 14,136-square-foot Zilker Ballroom and a 2,700-square-foot outdoor terrace.
