Valley Forge Casino Resort’s Lori Glennon Shares Her Supplier Secrets to Success

Meetings Today Senior Contributor Jeff Heilman spoke with Lori Glennon, executive director of sales, Valley Forge Casino Resort, Prussia, Pennsylvania, about the hotel’s capabilities for hosting events.

Meetings Today: What can Valley Forge Casino Resort offer groups that makes it stand out among the competition?

How does the hotel and its staff encourage groups to comeback for future events?

Lori Glennon, Executive Director of Sales, Valley Forge Casino ResortLori Glennon: We embrace the core values of partnership and collaboration as part of what we call “Work As One Team.” Each department is involved in helping to secure business and then successfully execute client programs on-site. Sales and marketing work closely together to ensure that we are reaching potential clients through platforms that include social networks and digital and print media, along with attention-getting promotions.

Once the client is on-property, all departments unite to provide them with exceptional customer service and ensure their possible experience as our guests. By delivering what we promise, we create strong relationships, repeat business and a loyal customer base that comes back to the resort every year.

Boyd Gaming, which took over the property in September 2018, has a rich history in the gaming industry and similar core values, which makes for a perfect match.

Since the acquisition, we have expanded the casino floor, adding 250 of the newest and most innovative slot machines.

We also completed a total renovation of our 54,000-square-foot Event Center, along with one of our largest ballrooms and seven breakout rooms.

We look forward to the future under this new ownership.
