How to Book a Luxury Suite at Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile for Your Next Event

My luxury suite at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile had a pool table, TV area and dining room table. And I hadn’t even made it to the bedroom, yet!

The views of Michigan Avenue from the 46th floor were fantastic, and the bedroom was exceptionally chic and modern.

These luxury suites are exclusive – and I mean exclusive.

When I saw my room, I immediately went to my Bonvoy app to see if I could even book the luxury suite for a future trip to Chicago. I couldn’t find it, and Director of Sales and Marketing Adam Korchek confirmed that to be correct.

“We don’t offer those for retail,” Korchek told me while we were touring parts of his 64,000 square feet of meeting space. That said, meeting and event planners can book these rooms for special events and company VIPs.

Who Can Access the 5 Luxury Suites?

I got a look at these rooms during a press trip with Marriott.

If available, sometimes the rooms are offered to Titanium loyalty members who request an upgrade. And event planners can make them part of their conference room blocks for speakers, VIPs, C-Suite executives, and CEOs, for example.

I know speakers and other VIPs appreciate the upgrades. I certainly did when I received a similar room at the San Diego Marquis while speaking at the Content Tech Summit.

Even if you are booking an event at other hotels, it might be something worth asking about:

  • Are suites included?
  • How does that increase the cost?
  • What would you normally recommend?

These luxury suites can be used for executive meetings of 20 to 35 attendees. The suites are right by the elevators, though you can’t hear them. And it’s a quick trip down to the event floors, so it is perfect for quick travel from the suite to the event space.

More Event Spaces at Marriott Magnificent Mile

For larger company events, consider one of the 42 event rooms on the lower levels.

Some meetings span multiple rooms and levels. While events with more than 1,000 people are easily possible—in fact, one upcoming conference booked will have 1,600 attendees—the sweet spot seems to be 600-900 people, Korchek mentioned.

Large or small, upscale or traditional, the Marriott Magnificent Mile can accommodate your next event in style.
