4 Fantastic Off-Site Venues for Groups Meeting in Aurora, Colorado

Aurora, Colorado, is expanding rapidly and so are its off-site event venue options. Popular spaces include two updated airplane hangars, a state park lake house and a scenic golf course. Here's a quick overview of what these four standout spaces can offer groups.

Wings Over the Rockies

Accommodating 20 to 3,500 guests, it’s easy to host any size event in this former WWII-era airplane hangar housed in the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum.

Host a corporate event, party or fundraising gala and have your guests explore the iconic aircraft, space vehicles, artifacts and military uniforms before or after the event.

The Hangar at Stanley Marketplace

This 18,500-square-foot former airplane hangar inside Stanley Marketplace is one of the largest indoor and outdoor venues in the Denver and Aurora metro area.

With doors big enough to fit a jet plane and original structures from the 1954 building—like steel beams, polished concrete floors and 30-inch light fixtures— preserved, this large venue adds an industrial feel to events, honoring the space’s aviation history.

The hangar and its patio can accommodate up to 2,500 guests combined.

Pelican Bay at Cherry Creek

Though the area is best-known for its mountains, Pelican Bay at Cherry Creek in Cherry Creek State Park offers planners an unexpected waterfront option for hosting their events in the Denver metro area.

The Lake House is available for year-round booking and has multiple indoor and outdoor spaces for rent, including the Tiki Beach and Breezeway spaces that can accommodate up to 500 standing. Attendees can also rent stand-up paddleboards or kayaks at the marina.

Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club

For golf enthusiasts, Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club is nestled in the southeast hills of Aurora. It provides a challenging, championship course with vistas of the Rocky Mountains, and flexible event space in the clubhouse or newly renovated ballroom that can seat up to 200 people. Corporate golf tournaments and on-site catering can also be arranged.
