Nicaragua welcomed the DoubleTree by Hilton Managua, a 147-room hotel in the Villa Fontana area of the country’s capital.
After a more than $3 million renovation, the property offers contemporary guest rooms with natural colors inspired by the hotel’s surroundings—from lakes and volcanoes, to islands and mountains—along with decor from area artisans and artists.
The hotel is home to the city’s largest outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, an expansive outdoor deck with views of Lake Managua and the mountains of Nicaragua.
There is more than 6,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The four meeting rooms can accommodate up to 360 guests and range in size from a small conference room for up to 12 guests to expansive ballrooms of more than 3,000 square feet.
Groups can also opt for an outdoor event by the hotel’s poolside garden with beautiful landscape backdrops.
Guests can dine at Kyoto Restaurant, a Japanese restaurant with signature dishes such as Kyoto Maki and Sushi Boats.
Overlooking the lake, Bar Maderas offers tasty cocktails, beers and comfort food, while Las Isletas Restaurant features a carefully crafted menu of local and international cuisine for breakfast and lunch.
The Market, which is open 24/7, offers salads, sandwiches and baked goods on-the-go.
DoubleTree by Hilton Managua offers convenient access to fine dining, shopping and local attractions, including Galerias Santo Domingo Mall, Nicaragua National Zoo, Antigua Cathedral of Managua and The National Palace of Culture.
The hotel is also less than 30 minutes from Augusto Cesar Sandino Airport.
