Ireland

Hard Rock International continues its expansion into Europe with the opening of Hard Rock Hotel Dublin. The new location is a celebration of the rich cultural and musical history of Dublin, bringing Hard Rock’s signature music-infused vibes to the heart of the city.

The 120-room hotel is a contemporary reimagining of two historic buildings, combining the Exchange Building, a listed property built at the turn of the 20th century, and the adjacent Fashion House building, linked together by a newly built glass bridge. Hard Rock Hotel Dublin offers:

  • 120 rooms furnished with lively color schemes, paired with wood and stone accents
  • Interiors adorned with Hard Rock memorabilia from some of Ireland’s most loved musicians such as Phil Lynott, Van Morrison, Hozier and U2
  • South American-inspired eatery, Zampas, featuring locally-sourced ingredients alongside live music
  • Signature Hard Rock amenities, such as The Sound of Your Stay in-room music program, Rock Om in-room yoga and the Rock Shop

Within walking distance of the hotel are the world-famous Guinness Storehouse, the Jameson Distillery, Dublin Castle and the renowned Temple Bar district. Also easily accessible is several of Dublin’s cultural institutions, including the Olympia Theatre, the Gallery of Photography and the Irish Film Institute.

Germany

The new Radisson RED Cologne will be located in a central city location, near the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Cologne Cathedral. The new development will integrate into the 'Laurenz Carré', a modern urban district that also features office and retail spaces.

The Radisson RED Cologne will have a total of 262 guest rooms and is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2023. The lifestyle branded hotel will have a restaurant and bar concept, a fitness studio and a meeting and event area that is just under 1,000 square feet.

Mexico

Hospitality interior design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates San Francisco (HBA) recently unveiled the design of Canopy by Hilton Cancun | La Isla, HBA’s third new-build project completed in Mexico and the Canopy by Hilton lifestyle brand’s first hotel in the Caribbean and Latin America.

The 174-room hotel overlooks the Nichupté Bay and includes art-infused elements integrated into every space, such as a feature chandelier comprised of fiber sculptures. HBA designers took inspiration from the city’s local heritage, weaving Cancun’s street art and mural scene into the fiber of the hotel’s design.

Honest materials like chiseled stone at the bar and reclaimed wood at the registration desk combine with rug patterns in bright teals and greens to create a welcoming introduction. Seating groups in the central area take on a relaxed, residential attitude amidst the volume of the lobby. The overlooking mezzanine is comprised of meeting space and a spa-like transfer lounge. Canopy by Hilton Cancun | La Isla offers three boardrooms, co-working space and a terrace for small events and meetings.

Additionally, coming to Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit is the Conrad Punta de Mita, the new-build resort that will deliver an inspired beach experience starting May 2020. Drawing influence from Mexico's rich history and culture, this location will feature indigenous artwork integrated with amenities to create a sense of barefoot resort elegance that highlights its local Mexican identity.

All 324 guest rooms and suites will offer views of the Pacific Ocean, with suites offering large patios, plunge pools, freestanding soaking tubs and outdoor showers.

Groups will stay inspired with 54,000 square feet of event space with custom activities, authentic cuisine and cultural experiences. Highlights include:

  • Seven ballrooms (combined total of 9,900 square feet of space)
  • Two meetings rooms (combined total of 2,800 square feet)
  • 41,200 square feet of outdoor beach and lawn space
  • Can host up to 1,120 guests in a group meeting, theatre style setup

Four restaurant and three bar concepts will offer menus and spaces that pay tribute to age-old techniques and flavors of the local culture—among them, an intimate mezcal and tequila barrel tasting room, and a lobby bar, Tuki, which borrows its name from the Huichol word for “temple.”

Conrad Punta de Mita is located in the same private development as the Litibu Golf Course, offering groups an 18-hole golf experience designed by Greg Norman. Zip-lining, sailing and seasonal whale watching are also just minutes away from the resort.
