Italy
The historic Grand Hotel Savoia Cortina d’Ampezzo, a Radisson Collection Hotel, and the Radisson Residences Savoia Palace have officially opened their doors following an extensive renovation, while still maintaining both properties’ unique alpine identities. The 5-star hotel recently joined Radisson Hotel Group and is operated by Zeus International.
Cortina d'Ampezzo is a year-round resort destinations that is well known for its skiing and snowboarding in the winter and hiking, biking and rock climbing in the summer. Built in 1912, the Grand Hotel Savoia Cortina d’Ampezzo remains true to its original Art Nouveau style as a symbol of Italian elegance and contemporary style. Strategically located in the center of Cortina, the hotel features 126 guest rooms and three dining concepts—Ristorante Savoy, 1224 Bar Lounge and 1224 Terrazza.
With over 6,400 square feet of hi-tech meeting and events space, the hotel has the largest conference area in Cortina. Planners can create a lasting impression in the property’s 3,121-square-foot Dolomia event space, accommodating up to 300 guests. The 986-square-foot Enrosadira Room, with space for up to 100 guests, is also available for more intimate occasions.
New Caledonia
Now offering a true island experience for guests is the DoubleTree by Hilton Noumea Ilot Maitre Resort. The fully renovated 64-bungalow resort is an easy 30-minute boat ride away from the capital city Noumea, courtesy of the resort’s private boat. It offers regular transfers between the islet and Noumea, offering guests both a relaxing island getaway and the chance to visit the vibrant capital.
Featuring 600 square feet of meeting space, the property’s Le Colonnaire meeting room is located in the tropical gardens and provides visitors with an inspirational view over the lagoon and an outdoor area for coffee breaks. A marquee is located alongside the meeting room, which can accommodate up to 150 people for cocktails or other social or professional gatherings.
Ilot Maitre forms part of the lagoon encircling New Caledonia, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The resort is surrounded by a 200-hectare natural reserve that is home to an abundance of marine life and flora and fauna, and enjoys a sub-tropical climate year-round.

Noumea is just over 28 miles from La Tontouta International Airport, which can be reached in approximately three hours from Sydney, two-and-a-half hours from Auckland and eight hours from Tokyo.
United Arab Emirates
Hilton’s latest leisure resort, the Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island, developed by Miral welcomed its first guests in February 2021. The hotel is set within Yas Bay’s Waterfront, a vibrant destination on the southern end of Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island, giving guests immediate access to the waterfront’s retail and food and beverage outlets, as well as entertainment and nightlife experiences.
Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island features 545 guest rooms (including 59 suites) and a range of facilities, including signature dining and cafés, a fully equipped Kid’s Club, a Beach Club, a temperature-controlled outdoor pool, a spa and fitness center, and a multi-purpose conference center.
Extensive conference and event facilities can cater for everything from small meetings to international conferences. The event space is located on one level with a dedicated separate entrance for guests arriving at the ballrooms or meeting rooms. The property includes two ballrooms and 12 multi-functional spaces.
As well as receiving complimentary access to Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, and Warner Bros. World, resident guests will be in close proximity to the Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi’s first-of-its-kind multi-purpose indoor entertainment venue, and Yas Marina Circuit—home of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Moreover, the property is conveniently positioned near Abu Dhabi Airport, Downtown Abu Dhabi and is one hour from Dubai.
Future Conferences Coming to Columbia
Expected to open in Barranquilla, Colombia, in 2024, is the Arena Del Rio, a new entertainment center poised to be the most innovative venue of its kind in the Latin America region. The complex is being developed by Two Way Stadiums, Universal Music Group-backed UMUSIC Hotels, Dakia U-Ventures and AECOM.
Arena Del Rio will spread across a 31-hectare site on the Magdalena River banks located in the Gran Malecón and will be serviced by three international airports, making it an ideal venue for the MICE industry. It will include a luxury 500 room hotel, the first Universal Studios hotel outside the US, that will be integrated into the stadium, aiming to combine the experience of a luxury resort with the power of music.
The multifunctional stadium will feature a 50,000-guest capacity, a retractable mobile lawn, three auditoriums, and a club, allowing for meetings and conferences of any size. Additional complex attractions will include a music and sports museum, a virtual reality park, 350 suites, 100 apartments, 120 offices, 100 commercial premises—including bars, clubs and restaurants—a four-port marina and a semi Olympic pool.
