After nearly eight years, Australia’s newest beachfront hotel, The Langham Gold Coast, welcomes guests with sophisticated coastal charm and serenity. The 169-room hotel, situated between Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach, is the first hotel with direct beachfront access to arrive to the destination in more than 30 years.
Each guest room features uninterrupted views of either the Pacific Ocean or the Hinterland, and guests also have access to a health club, two swimming pools, seven dining options and a luxury spa guided by traditional Chinese medicine. The hotel’s event spaces include 11 separate venues totaling 12,895 square feet, including the Diamond Ballroom, a 6,652-square-foot space with a capacity of 400 guests, and the Facet Room, with a capacity of 80 guests for a banquet-style reception.

Colombia
Marriott International opened its latest property in South America and first in Colombia’s Barranquilla region, Barranquilla Marriott Hotel. The contemporary and sophisticated Barranquilla Marriott Hotel provides opportunities to experience local culture through food, music and people, emphasizing the importance of learning new cultures while paying tribute to the city.
The hotel brings 191 rooms to the region designed using warm wood tons to reflect the tropical forest vegetation surrounding the property. Barranquilla Marriott Hotel also offers more than 19,000 square feet of event space across eight rooms, the largest of which can host up to 756 guests, as well as an in-house culinary team and audiovisual equipment.
Spain
New to Menorca is Villa Le Blanc by Gran Meliá – The Leading Hotels of the World. Situated on the seafront between the beaches of Santo Tomas and San Adeodato and nestled in a natural environment, Villa Le Blanc by Gran Meliá is Menorca’s first carbon-neutral hotel, and its white stone construction blends it naturally into the island’s south coast landscape.
Villa Le Blanc by Gran Meliá has 159 rooms, all featuring a private balcony with views of the sea or hotel gardens and inspired by Mediterranean-style designs. Resort guests also have access to the Spa by Anne Semonin, a French brand offering massages, facials and a hydrothermal circuit consisting of a swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna.
The hotel is equipped to host meetings and events of any size, all featuring a backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea and organized by the hotel’s event staff. Studios and meeting spaces featuring large windows bring abundant natural light, and most can handle an average of 50 guests. The hotel also offers onsite catering and internet access.

Ready for The Royal
With a grand opening slated for the final quarter of this year, Atlantis The Royal, Dubai’s newest iconic landmark, claims to be “the most ultra-luxury experiential resort in the world,” soaring 43 stories high above the Arabian Sea and Palm Island.
Home to some of the “most elegant rooms, suites and signature penthouses in the world,” according to Atlantis, The Royal delivers extraordinary luxury and comfort from each room’s stylish interiors to their private balconies, expansive terraces and private pools. The hotel also features a selection of the finest chefs in the world, one-of-a-kind dining experiences and 17 world-class restaurants, including eight celebrity chef restaurants.
Atlantis The Royal, a 937,500-square-foot building, stands next to its sister hotel, Atlantis The Palm, which offers setting for small and intimate meetings to large and lavish gatherings in or nearby the resort. Unique spaces available for booking include The Lost Chambers Aquarium or the Palm Beach, and outdoor venues showcase views of the sea from private beaches, poolside terraces and the Asateer tent.
Atlantis The Royal will also offer nightlife experiences and luxury amenities including Cloud 22, an infinity pool 22 stories above sea level for lounging, dining and dancing, as well as Nobu by the Beach, a world-first, according to Atlantis. Nobu by the Beach delivers both luxury and lifestyle through Japanese architecture on the oceanfront.
