The Islamorada Resort Collection, comprised of four boutique resort experiences in the Florida Keys, hired four new executive team members ahead of upcoming property enhancements.
Scott Dawson, a 30-year industry veteran, was hired as vice president and marketing director. Dawson’s career started with Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts, where he spent 15 years taking on a variety of leadership positions that propelled him into executive titles with numerous hotels and resorts in the Southern U.S. Dawson served as general manager of Essex House in New York City during its $150 million renovation and most recently held a hospitality consulting role where he built strategic teams in an effort to increase productivity and improve work culture.
Ian Millington takes over as complex director of finance and brings more than a decade of hospitality finance experience to his new executive position with hospitality companies including Driftwood Hospitality, Sandals Resorts and Starwood.
Erin Benbrika was hired as complex director of people and culture for the Islamorada Resort Collection. Previously, Benbrika has held numerous human resource positions, including one with Atlantis Paradise in the Bahamas.
Matt Skaletsky takes over as resort manager of the Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina and Pelican Cove Resort & Marina. Skaletsky’s hospitality career started in the kitchen, where he served as a chef across several luxury properties under the Ritz-Carlton and Montage brands. He eventually became executive chef at Moonlight Basin in Montana, and his culinary experience will help the Islamorada Resort Collection unveil a number of brand-new dining concepts throughout 2023.
The Islamorada Resort Collection’s new executive team members will oversee the management of all four properties: Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina; Amare Cay Resort; La Siesta Resort & Villas; and Pelican Cove Resort & Marina.
