Visit Baton Rouge hired two new staff members, Bridget Gaffney as client relationship manager and Jason Suitt as director of sports development.
Gaffney is a new graduate from Southeastern Louisiana University and will be managing all facets of the bureau’s CRM system. She will also be the contact for all staff and industry partners for CRM-related questions and assistance.
Suitt will step into his position with 21 years of experience in marketing promotions, advertising, sponsorship sales as well as activations, graphics and licensing and event production for college athletics. In his new position, Suitt will be charged with identification, development and implementation of overall strategy for sports tourism in Baton Rouge.
Suitt worked as director of sports marketing and strategic partnerships at the Walk-Ons Sports Bistreaux prior to being hired at Visit Baton Rouge.
“I am incredibly excited to have the opportunity to work for an organization that is so passionate about the city I call home,” Gaffney said. “I am already enjoying working with the marketing team to help promote our businesses and fostering connections with our local partners and stakeholders.”
