Meetings Today LIVE! ventured to the glamorous SoCal destination of Greater Palm Springs for our mid-September West event and the desert delivered!
From host hotel The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa to site inspections and F&B pyrotechnics at Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa, Indian Wells; La Quinta Resort & Club; and the Palm Springs Convention Center, we experienced first-hand how some of the top meeting venues in the Coachella Valley can exceed attendee expectations.
Offsite activities also included a tour of Old Las Palmas, where stars of the Golden Age of Hollywood kept hideaway homes; a gondola ride up Mount Jacinto on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway; and a SUPERBLOOM art experience and final-night dinner amongst the impressive collection of warbirds at the Palm Springs Air Museum.
No one will forget flying to the moon on the surprise visit to the mid-century modern pad of Old Blue Eyes himself, Frank Sinatra. You could almost hear ice cubes clinking in a highball.
Educational sessions included presentations from MPI Academy’s Jessie States and Courtney Stanley, creator and host of Meetings Today’s Dare to Interrupt podcast.
Check out some of our shots below from a desert destination that is definitely ready for its close-up!
Opening Reception
The opening reception at host property Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa didn't disappoint. In the Backyard at Masters Plaza, one of the resort's impressive outdoor spaces, attendees enjoyed an evening of networking at sunset. Even dogs had a chance to participate in the fun, with pups from Palm Springs Animal Shelter in attendance as this year's CSR partner.
Highlights From Day One
From one-on-one networking and education to tours of meeting hotels like Renaissance Esmerelda and La Quinta Resort & Club, the first full day of Meetings Today LIVE! West in Palm Springs showed off some of the desert destination's best meeting offerings.
