Visit Orlando Names Tammy McCormick Director of Destination Experience

Visit Orlando announced the appointment of Tammy McCormick as director of destination experience. In her role, McCormick will lead Visit Orlando’s destination experience team and help elevate client engagement to further enhance customer experiences when they plan and conduct meetings and conferences in Orlando.  

“Our priority at Visit Orlando is to deliver unparalleled customer service to create an exceptional planning experience for groups that meet in Orlando,” said Casandra Matej, president and CEO for Visit Orlando. “Tammy’s proven history of delivering innovative and memorable meeting solutions will further enrich our client relations as she leads our team of experienced meetings professionals.”

McCormick has over 22 years of experience in the events services industry and most recently served as the national director of creative for ACCESS Destination Services. In her previous role, she helped provide strategic creative direction for national and brand-wide accounts, led the creative process for site inspections and presentations through the execution phase and collaborated with the creative team to deliver unique meeting experiences. McCormick also holds a bachelor’s in hotel, restaurant and tourism from the University of New Orleans and is a Certified Meetings Professional (CMP) and Certified Incentive Travel Professional (CITP).
