Amy Hissrich, CAE joined ASAE in November of 2007 and currently serves as the Vice President of International Affairs. Amy has over 25 years’ experience managing projects for associations, non-profits, government agencies and Fortune 500 clients. Amy graduated Phi Beta Kapa from Dickinson College with a BA in Cultural Anthropology and holds a Masters in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She earned her Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential in 2015.

Stuart Ruff-Lyon is the Chief Events and Sales Officer at RIMS, where he leads the team responsible for all event and non-event revenue generation. A passionate advocate for RIMS, he spearheaded the 2019 rebranding of the organization's flagship event, RISKWORLD (formerly the RIMS Annual Conference & Exhibition), and serves as its primary staff lead. Since joining RIMS in 2012 as Director of Meetings and Events, he has risen through the ranks, holding titles of Vice President before assuming his current role.
With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and events industry, Mr. Ruff-Lyon has a proven track record of planning international events and global citywide conventions. His leadership extends throughout the industry, having served as Chairman of the Board for the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) in 2020. A sought-after speaker, he has presented at numerous industry events, including ASAE, PCMA, CEIR (Center for Exhibition Industry Research) Predict, IAEE (International Association of Events and Exhibitions), and FICP (Financial and Insurance Conference Planners). He currently serves on advisory boards for convention bureaus in Chicago, Dallas, Denver, the Georgia World Congress Center, Miami, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Omni Hotels. His past service includes membership on the Marriott International Customer Advisory Council, Destination Marketing International Meetings Professional Board, Hosts Global, Hawaii CVB, and New Orleans CVB.
Mr. Ruff-Lyon's contributions to the industry have been widely recognized. He is the recipient of the 2024 PCMA Chairman’s Award and the prestigious 2024 Business Events Strategist of the Year Award (PCMA Visionary Awards). He was also a finalist for the 2025 Event Designer of the Year Award (PCMA Visionary Awards). Other accolades include being named Meeting Planner of the Year by Smart Meetings magazine (2022), Meetings Professional of the Year by the New York Society of Association Executives (NYSAE, 2020), Show Manager of the Year by the Expo Group (2017), Meetings Trendsetter by Meetings.net (2016), Industry Change Maker by Meetings and Conventions magazine (2015), and a Top 40 Under 40 Event Professional by Collinson Media (2011).
In spring 2024, Mr. Ruff-Lyon served as the Executive in Residence for the L. Robert Payne School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at San Diego State University. During his residency, he provided event, hospitality, and tourism students with behind-the-scenes insights into RISKWORLD and educated them on the complexities of citywide convention planning. Outside of his professional life, Mr. Ruff-Lyon enjoys traveling the world and immersing himself in new cultures. He resides in Westfield, Indiana, just north of Indianapolis, with his husband and their two cats.
