Miss. Gulf Coast Casinos Reopening

Three popular Biloxi, Miss., casinos have either reopened or plan to reopen by the end of the week.

The Isle of Capri casino became the first hotel to move onto land in Mississippi when it opened a temporary facility Monday. The Isle’s temporary casino features 930 slot machines and 27 table games. According to a report in Biloxi’s The Sun Herald newspaper, 550 of its 740 guest rooms were ready for occupancy last Friday.

The former Imperial Palace Hotel, now named the IP Hotel & Casino, opened this week with 1,900 slot machines and 52 table games. Its casino barge survived the hurricane

The Palace Casino Resort plans to reopen with a temporary casino Dec. 30.
