Construction is under way in Avon, Colo., on a new mixed-use project that will include The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa and The Westin Riverfront Mountain Villas.
The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa will house 235 guest rooms and 4,700 square feet of meeting space when it opens in winter 2008.
The Westin Riverfront Mountain Villas will operate as a vacation ownership facility and is expected to open in stages following the hotel’s debut.
The project is also slated to include a retail plaza with shops as well as a spa, fitness facility, restaurants, and an eight-passenger gondola connecting Avon to the nearby Beaver Creek Ski Resort Area.
