Work is expected to begin in late January on the renovation and conversion of Detroit’s Pick-Fort Shelby Hotel into a building containing a Doubletree Hotel, a convention center and other facilities, according to local press reports.
The project includes a 204-room Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel, which is scheduled to open next winter, a 30,000-square-foot convention center, Finn & Porter restaurant, and 63 residential units.
