Much to the disappointment of New Orleanians, the hometown Saints lost the NFC Championship game to the Chicago Bears Sunday.
The fateful game was played during MPI’s 2007 Professional Education Conference-North America (PEC-NA), held in New Orleans.
Eerily enough, the 2006 PEC-NA was held in Charlotte, N.C., home of the Carolina Panthers, which lost to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game during the conference.
Coincidence?
The 2008 PEC-NA will be held in Houston Feb. 2-5, but since it will coincide with the 2008 Super Bowl, held Feb. 3, observers are cautiously optimistic any perceived curse will meet its demise, perhaps for a variety of reasons.
