Orlando CVB Chooses New Leader

The Orlando/Orange County CVB appointed Gary C. Sain its new president, effective Feb. 12.

He will replace Bill Peeper, who retired late last year.

Sain previously worked as the chief marketing officer for Yesawich, Pepperdine, Brown and Russell, a hospitality advertising and public relations company in Orlando. His extensive industry experience also includes positions such as senior vice president of sales, marketing and passenger services for Premier Cruise Line and vice president of sales and marketing for GES Exposition Services.

“With his outstanding marketing and sales background, dynamic leadership style and long-standing respect within the hospitality industry, Gary was unanimously endorsed by the search committee,” said Mark McHugh, chairman of the CVB’s board of directors, who headed up the national search for Peeper’s successor. “We are confident he has the strategic and creative vision to take Orlando’s convention and leisure business forward as we continue to expand the destination’s reach and appeal.”
