The Woodlands, a master-planned community just north of Houston, launched its own CVB in an effort to promote the destination to business and leisure travelers.
Nick Wolda was named the bureau’s president, and says planners should take note of the growing community.
“Planners can find everything right here in The Woodlands, whether they are bringing in a small group of executives or a large conference or trade show,” he said.
The destination offers more than 1,400 hotel rooms at properties such as the Woodlands Waterway Marriott hotel and Convention Center, Woodlands Resort & Conference Center, Courtyard by Marriott, Drury Inn & Suites, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, and two Marriott Residence Inns.
