Ground is expected to be broken Feb. 5 on the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center here.
The property, estimated to cost about $73 million, will be located next to the Normal Theater in the growing area of Uptown Normal.
When it opens in fall 2008, the hotel will offer 230 guest rooms and 43,000 square feet of function space in its attached conference center.
