Starwood Hotels & Resorts broke ground May 31 on the new aloft Charleston Airport & Convention Center.
The hotel, situated near the Charleston International Airport, is expected to house 136 guest rooms and a yet-to-be-determined amount of meeting space.
The property is anticipated to open in summer 2008.
