Marriott, Schrager to Launch New Brand

Marriott International partnered with Ian Schrager, former head of Morgans Hotel Group and co-founder of Studio 54, to develop a new brand of boutique-style hotels in cities throughout the world.

Hotels under the new brand, which has yet to be named, will contain an average of 150 to 200 rooms as well as other amenities.

Plans are in the works for properties to open over the next 10 years in locations throughout Europe and Asia as well as in U.S. cities such as New York, Miami, San Francisco, San Diego, Boston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
